Sustainability and Funding
CircusAid maintains a goal of transferring leadership of activities to local representation. By training local leaders in effective CircusAid practices, more people can participate long-term. Simultaneously, we support local employment by providing means of professional development training and locally paid skilled labor.
The project involves international and local circus artists, social circus educators, sustainable development engineers, partner organizations, university representation, and occupational therapists providing free services for the refugee populations that participate in the project.
CircusAid Projects are Funded in Three Ways
Tax-deductible donations through our fiscal sponsor Fractured Atlas
Holistic Circus Therapy Training and Social Enterprise Integrated Business Model
Fieldwork student and participant volunteer financial contribution through personal donation, sponsorship, and/or crowdfunding

Volunteer and Student Responsibilities Include Fundraising
HCT/CircusAid provides all of the content needed for volunteers and students to launch their own crowdfunding campaigns and provides support and guidelines in the process.
All volunteers and students are required to donate the full amount of money raised using CircusAid content to CircusAid projects.
Volunteers can contribute between €1000-€2000 minimum for participation in CircusAid projects depending on the role they will be taking and the logistical support needed by CircusAid staff. 2-4 week full-time volunteers who require accommodation support must contribute €2000 to the project one month before their arrival to enable living arrangements to be coordinated.
